November 9, 2016
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As you know, we are planning to enter an in-school 1:1 initiative for students in grades 7 and 8. The
purpose of the 1:1 program is to allow students to utilize technology throughout the school day in all educational environments. We are excited for the opportunity to rollout this pilot program beginning in
the second marking period.
In order for district staff to provide students and parents with the most up-to-date information connected
to acceptable use of the 1:1 devices as well as Board policy governing the use of each device, all
necessary documentation will be sent home with students on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Parents or
guardians should complete and return the documents to school on Monday, November 28, 2016. Devices
will be distributed to students and will begin to be used in class on that same day.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms. Hammond at 908-238-9141
[email protected] or Mr. Jaw at [email protected] 908- 236-7235 ext 521. We look forward to our
continued work on this initiative.
Sincerely,
Judith Hammond, Principal
